Chaitanya Kumar(22)
Chaitanya Kumar has been involved with the activities of the Indian Youth Climate Network for over 8 months now. He is passionate about the environment and wants to work hard in bringing about a foreseeable change in the way we treat nature. His involvement began with small activities like organizing green fests in college before he joined the IYCN. He has been a part of the first ever Indian youth delegation to attend the UN Conference of Parties (14) in Poznan, Poland in Dec ’08.
He has helped organize the Climate Solutions Road Tour, a journey across India to document and celebrate climate solutions in India. Besides this, he has had a brief stint with MV Foundation, an NGO working in Hyderabad around natural resource management across 108 villages. He has also represented the IYCN at a conference in Nepal for discussions on World Bank policy for Climate Change and also in Canada to talk about how disenfranchised people will adapt to climate change.
He is currently involved in mobilizing youth across the country and also working on developing pilot projects for IYCN. He intends to continue his work and dedicate a lot more on the issue of Climate Change.
NALINI JAIN(21)
Is a 21 year old B.Com Graduate, specialising in Finance, from St. Francis College for women, Hyderabad. Has worked with Grant Thornton, India for close to a year as a financial analyst in the domain of Mergers and Acquisitions and Private equity. Currently pursuing the global CFA charter awarded by the CFA Institute, America.
Was an active member of the environment club at college, registered with the WWF. Has a keen passion for the issue of climate change and environment protection which was developed under the mentorship of Mr. Sagar Dhara, an official with the UNEP, as a team member working on a carbon footprint calculator under the banner of IYCN. Hopes to facilitate the process, through HYSoCC, of introducing the youth of the city to this imperative issue.
Chintalapati Vatsal(20)
Vatsal C.S.S is a 20 year old UnderGrad pursuing a Bachelors in Interactive Entertainment-Majoring in Animation, from Sae Institute in Singapore.Attended the IYSOCC conducted in Hyderabad last year. Has been involved in IYCN for almost 8-10 months now and has been their Hyderabad Co-ordinator for the Road trip. Currently is their International Promoter from Singapore. Is also the president of a literary club called Helix and has been running it for close to 2 years now.
Has a passion for working towards a greener future and also to get more and more people educated and involved in the process. To spread the word about Global Warming. Is willing to be able to help in anyway possible.
Vinay Tejaswi(20)
Vinay Tejaswi is Is pursuing a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from GRIET,Hyderabad. Was first introduced to the gravity of impact of climate change and global warming when he attended the IYOSCC held in hyderabad last year.Is a member of the IYCN and is currently working on vulnerability mapping of Hyderabad under the guidance of Mr.Sagar Dhara (UNEP).
Supports clean and green technology and strongly believes that the solution to the energy crisis lies in harnessing Solar energy.Plans to pursue a Masters degree in Renewable energy sources and do his bit to make green technology more economically viable. Is an avid reader and in charge of public relations at the Literary club Helix.
Venkata Rohit(20)
Venkata Rohit is a 20 year old pursuing Btech in Biotechnology from sreenidhi. Presently the vice president of the technical association in his college which also doubles up as an eco club. Concerned with the climate change of the planet and its effect on ecosystem. Intrested in wildlife conservation and spreading the message to all. Currently involved in a carbon footprint calculator team of IYCN Hyderabad under the guidance of Mr. Sagar Dhara. Putting his first step forward in creating awareness thorugh HYSoCC
Nikhil Goel(22)
Nikhil Goel is Is a Business Technology Analyst at Deloitte Consulting India Pvt. Ltd. He has done Electrical and Electronics Engineering from University College of Engineering Osmania Univeristy.
He is part of a team which teaches English and the importance of health and hygiene to the sub -staff, security personal and cafeteria workers at Deloitte Hyderabad Campus. Is concerned about issues related to Water Conservation and its over all impact on environment. He has joined IYCN to learn more about the issues impacting climate and have a channel to network with people sensitive to such issues. Plans to make his share of contribution to the serious issue of climate change by leading or being part of projects which aim at making a quantifiable impact in helping solve this problem.
Pratyusha Reddy(22)
Pratyusha is pursuing industrial design (product) from national institute of design ,ahmedabad. Graduated in electronics and communication engineering from vasavi college of engineering.
She has been involved with promotion of safe environment and waste management through paintings , art exhibitions. have conducted painting competetions and workshops for children to create awareness about pollution free environment(apart from drawing skills). currently involved with projects based on management and recycling of organic waste.been concerned about conservation of energy andclimate change and issues impacting it .i believe its high time we bring about a change and save our planet, joining IYCN and organizing hysocc would be my first step towards this goal.
Abishek Bharadwaj
Abishek Graduated in mechanical engineering from VNR, Hyderabad. Worked for 2.5 years in Infosys Tehnologies, Pune as a software engineer and a Green Analyst. Started the concept of eco club in Infosys. As a green analyst, worked immensely on greening Infosys, which is one of the biggest polluters in the corporate world! He was also a part of the India Climate Solutions Road Tour, and was actively involved in communicating the various sustainable green solutions across the country. Currently working with IYCN. Besides this, under the mentorship of Mr.Sagar Dhara, he is a part of the IYCN Hyderabad group, working on building a Carbon Footprint Calculator for the Indian scenario. He is also working with the company Cleanstar Technologies, focussing on a sustainable Biofuel production system, thereby substituting the ever-polluting fossil fuel based technologies.
He is a part of ECOWRAPPERS, a green movie production team, whose first movie 'GO GREEN PUNE' received a positive criticism in the environmental scenario of Pune city and has been shared nationwide.His strong concern with the climate change and his passion for saving the environment has driven him to dedicate his life to this field. He is an avid reader and a football fanatic and reckons that the beautiful game can get the world together and spread PEACE in this cruel world!
Vemana Madasu is a curious chap interested in organizing, writing, analysing, critiquing, theorising and debating anything and everything he can. He is Inquisitive for Information, Mad about Movies, Tantalised by Technology, Intuitive with Ideas, Smitten by Social media and above all a Wannabe Writer.
He is a graduate in Mech Engg from MJCET, Hyderabad. He has worked in the core organising committees of Times Youthopia and SAE-MJCET's Cars N Bots. He has been putting his 2 cents for environment protection and smaller footprints for several years now by making a personal effort and getting people around him to follow suit.
